The art in the sanctuary was designed by the Advent Art Worship Team and comes from the scripture passages that are included in the lectionary selections for this season.
These passages deal with ways we are becoming a people of Hope, Peace, Justice, and Faith. As the art installation progresses over the 4 weeks in Advent we will see these themes repeated in the addition of graduated panels that will hang in a circular pattern to symbolize the coming of Christ to the world. We are using the color blue as it has become an increasingly popular color to use in churches during Advent, in order to differentiate it from Lent.
