| The Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Jones
The First Baptist Church of Plymouth called the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Jones as their permanent part-time minister in 2005. He also serves as Director of Distance Learning and associate professor of ministerial leadership at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Massachusetts.
Jeff is an author. Among his works are Parenting with Love and Laughter: Finding God in Family Life; We Are Baptists: Studies for Younger Children, Older Children, Youth, and Adults, Keepers of the Faith, Illustrated Biographies from Baptist History, Traveling Together: A Guide for Disciple-Forming Congregations and Heart, Mind and Strength: Theory and Practice for Congregational Leadership. He has also written numerous articles on youth ministry, Christian education, family life, and Baptist history that have appeared in publications such as Baptist Leader, The American Baptist Quarterly, Group Magazine, Pastor’s Family Magazine, The Clergy Journal and Congregations.
Jeff's wife, Judy, is a weaver who produces women's clothing. They have two grown sons; Christopher, who lives in Boston and Benjamin, who lives in Sarasota, Florida.
