We’ve been on a journey this Lent – a journey to newness. On Easter Sunday that journey reaches its climax as we celebrate the joy of the resurrection and the newness it brings to our lives and to all creation. Plan to be with us as we reflect on the journey we’ve taken and experience the joy that is ours because of the newness of the resurrection experience. The sermon for the day is “Fears, Tears, New Life and You.” The gospel lesson is John 20:1-18. The choir anthem is a joyous arrangement of a favorite hymn, “Hallelujah! Thine the Glory!”
Easter is more than one Sunday! On the church calendar there are actually seven Sundays of Easter and we’ll be celebrating all them! Each Sunday of Easter this year we’ll be experiencing the joy of the resurrection and exploring ways in which we witness to the newness that Christ brings to our lives.
